Engage, ignite, achieve

Dear YMCA Friends –

Thanksgiving is a special time for thanks and I love the tradition (and the turkey). But at the Y, I am thankful EVERY day.

Just this week, I am thankful for:

YMCA Members achieving their goals, “I’ve lost 92 lbs this year!”

Families swimming together, “I learned how to swim at the YMCA so I could play with my son in the water.”

Communities getting healthier because of the YMCA, “We are getting control of our blood sugar with help from our Diabetes Prevention Program coach.”

New friendships, “I joined the YMCA Adult Basketball League.”

Future leaders, “I learned how politics works.  I want to be mayor someday.  Thank you YMCA Youth in Government  Program!”

Educating the next generation, “I love the 5 – star Early Learning Programs at the YMCA.  My child can read before kindergarten.”

Generosity from so many, “I hope this donation will help kids have fun at YMCA camp next summer.”

Thank You Cincinnati.  Thank you YMCA volunteers, donors, members and friends.  Two words.  Huge Impact. I am sincerely thank you for YOU!

May you have a blessed Thanksgiving.  Thank you again for making our YMCA so special! Please come see me soon at the Y!

Whether you are two or 92, the YMCA of Greater Cincinnati can help you in your swimming journey. Ever since the first YMCA pool opened in 1885, the Y has been a pioneer in swimming education.

Participating in YMCA of Greater Cincinnati swim classes help all ages improve their swim skills, build confidence, learn important water safety information, and participate in an activity you can enjoy for a lifetime.

The YMCA of Greater Cincinnati has many exciting things happening over the holiday season, as we give back to those in need. Here is how you can help:

December Coat Drive - The Y is partnering with Rhinegeist Brewery for a coat drive. All 14 YMCA of Greater Cincinnati locations, as well as Rhinegeist, will serve as drop-off points.
When you donate a new or gently used coat, Rhinegeist will give you a voucher for a $1 drink.

Giving Tuesday - The Y is participating in an unprecedented online fundraising challenge called Cincinnati Gives. We ask you to share our story and help us raise critical funds for the youth that we serve. The competition starts on Giving Tuesday (November 29, 2016) and continues through December 27, 2016. Start your team today!

Holiday of Hope - The YMCA of Greater Cincinnati invites you to join us for our annual Holiday of Hope to help individuals and families in our community that are having a difficult time this holiday season.
