Caring for
Our Caregivers

The YMCA of Greater Cincinnati, in partnership with local healthcare providers and the generosity of donors, is excited to offer free, four-month memberships to healthcare personnel on the front line of the pandemic, so they can take care of themselves in spirit, mind and body during these stressful times.

“We truly appreciate the sacrifices these front line personnel have made to serve our community throughout this pandemic,” said YMCA President and CEO Jorge Perez. “We want to make sure these dedicated nurses and medical support staff have a healthy outlet to help them re-energize and re-engage with their own families.”

Beginning Monday March 15, 2021, a limited number of free, four-month family memberships will be available. Information is being sent to hospital HR departments. You can also bring your hospital ID to any participating YMCA location to enroll. The membership runs from March 15 through July 31, 2021.  Applications ended March 31.

The Caring for Our Caregivers initiative is an opportunity for healthcare workers to utilize a scholarship for membership at the Y for four months. This initiative is a part of the Y’s Membership for All program which provides scholarship support to community members in need of access to Y services. Each year, the Y invests more than $3M in the Membership for All program, ensuring everyone can achieve their goals while building strong relationships and finding a true sense of belonging in the community. If you would like to partner with the Y to sponsor a health and wellness membership for a caregiver, visit the website MyY.org/GIVE for more information.

All Caregiver Memberships have been given for the summer.
