Dear Valued YMCA Member,
We are in unprecedented times and, because the well-being of members, staff, volunteers, and our community is our priority, we are adjusting as advised by public officials and in response to a growing need.
Because of the evolving rules governing the coronavirus pandemic, the impact of school closures, and the growing demand on medical professionals, we are transitioning many of our Y centers to support doctors, nurses, technicians, and medical staff with caring for their children during this crisis. They will not have to worry that their child is in a safe place, as they care for a growing number of our loved ones during this difficult time.
These Y teams will transition their focus on offering school-days-out childcare and youth camps for hospital workers:
Carl H. Lindner
Powel Crosley, Jr.
Richard E. Lindner
**The R.C. Durr and Clippard YMCA’s will also offer childcare and youth camps—along with other services.
For those of you who wish to continue your fitness journey, the downtown Central Parkway, Clippard, and R.C. Durr locations will continue to offer fitness and aquatics opportunities. However, all fitness classes, sports, senior activities, Kids’ Club and swim lessons are temporarily suspended throughout all YMCA of Greater Cincinnati branches.
Also, if you would like some help to remain fit at home during this crisis, we are excited to announce that we are providing free online options. Here is our first yoga class: (password: ymca). More will be added throughout the next week.
Thank you for supporting our efforts to help our community heroes, and for leaning in with us as we combat this pandemic. The Y is so much more than fitness centers and gyms, pools, and locker rooms; we are a cause!
