Youth & Teen
Our Y Teen Fitness program is a great way to introduce youth and teens to proper exercise techniques, using our strength training and cardiovascular equipment.
Ages 9-11 | Fitness Center
Members, ages 9-11, may only use cardio equipment in the fitness center after completion of an orientation and while under direct supervision of a parent or an adult.
Ages 12-15 | Fitness Center
Members, ages 12,13, and 14, must have completed Teen Fit orientation to use the fitness center without a parent. Young members will be taught how to use the cardiovascular and weight machines in a safe manner and learn the rules and regulations. Young members will also be educated on the basic principles of nutrition, flexibility, and major muscle groups.
Free weights are for ages 15+ only.
Group Fitness Classes
Ages 9-11 | Group Fitness
Children, ages 9-11, are welcome to join in group fitness classes with a parent or an adult unless the class involves weighted equipment. Height requirement of 4’11” for cycling bikes.
Ages 12-15 | Group Fitness
Ages 12-15 can attend group fitness class and parents/guardians are encouraged to attend the first class to orient the young member. Height requirement of 4’11” for cycling bikes.
