Thank you to all 2,150 volunteers who made their community better with their time and talents. Here are our winners from every branch.

Colerain Senior Center

For the next few weeks, we will be highlighting our Volunteer of the Year winners from our 2023 Keystone Awards. This week, we introduce you to Slyvia Dwertman. She volunteers her time at the Colerain Senior Center on the Welcome Team and as a Bingo Caller. She also assists with the Senior Social and Soup for the Soul.

Sylvia helps seniors develop meaningful relationships with each other through her kindred spirit while participating within the educational workshops, mini lectures, senior socials, laughter yoga, bingo events and more. Through her work with Visiting Angels, she has provides knowledge and resources which enhance the overall programs at not only Colerain Senior Center but other Y branches too. Her desire to provide the resources that benefit our senior members’ needs and wants inspires her to go beyond and has placed her in volunteer activities that steer her life towards doing good and makes others’ lives better. Sylvia has helped the Y create a place where seniors find their joy and passion. Thank you, Sylvia, for being a great example of who the Y is!

Keep checking back for more of our volunteer keystones.
