What should I bring?

  • We encourage wearing a mask to the Y
  • Wear your workout clothes, locker room will not be available until June 22
  • Bring your own mat and workout towel each visit
  • Bring a filled water bottle, drinking fountains will not be available

How to reserve a class space, pool time or Kid’s Club spot?

Due to limited capacity, YMCA members are encouraged to reserve a space in their group fitness class to guarantee a spot.  Reservations open 24 hours before class time and can be made online.  Please arrive 10 minutes before class time: spaces will be given to walk-ins at class start time. 

Lap swim reservations open 24 hours before your desired time slot.  Lap lane reservations begin on the hour, please arrive within 10 minutes of your time slot or space may be given to members waiting for a lane.

Open swim time slots are available for members only.  Children are able to swim and will be swim tested.  Reservations are open 24 hours before your desired time.

There will be limited spots available each hour for Kid’s Club.  Branches will set individual limits for proper child to instructor ratio.

What should I expect?

Social Distancing

The fitness floor is designed to make it easy to stay 6 feet apart

Face Masks

Wearing a personal protective mask is recommended especially in common areas

Expect Reduced Capacity

Limited equipment will be available in the cardio and strength line

Wipe Down Equipment

Clean equipment and wash hands before and after touching equipment

Temperature Checks

Please stay home if you are feeling sick or have a temperature over 100 degrees

Parental Supervision

Children under age 16 must be accompanied by a parent

If you placed your membership on hold until reopening, it will reactivate on June 1.  Email emergencycallcenter@cincinnatiymca.org if you would like to extend your hold.  If you set your hold for longer than May already, you do not need to send an email.

 

 

Currently the capacity of group fitness classes and fitness centers is limited and pools are for lap swimming only. We are not yet able to offer open swim, basketball and other team sports, sauna and steam room use, Kid’s Club and youth programs.

Members can not yet bring a guest to the YMCA due to capacity limits related to COVID-19.

Yes! We are happy to continue to register members and participants for programs next session. Online registration is available at MyY.org/register.
