Board & Partners

Association and Branch Boards of the YMCA of Greater Cincinnati are essential in providing oversight, ensuring resources and supporting the organization’s strategic direction. As a member of one of these boards, you will articulate, safeguard, model and promote the values of the YMCA and ultimately contribute to strengthening the foundations of our community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Board members shall be respected citizens of the community with an interest in and enthusiasm about the programs and objectives of the YMCA.

Association Board of Directors

The Association Board is a legal entity by which the YMCA exists as a locally autonomous 501(c)(3) chartered nonprofit corporation. Members are asked to attend board meetings, special events, participate on a committee of their preference and volunteer for a program or event. Each board member is asked to personally participate in the YMCA’s Annual Giving Campaign as well as recruit others to give.

Branch Advisory Board

This group is an advisory body for each branch in our association. Members are asked to attend board meetings, special events and participate on a committee of their preference. Each board member is asked to personally participate in the YMCA’s Annual Giving Campaign as well as recruit others to give.

  • Mobilize volunteers to give and serve

  • Provide input on issues, goals, and objectives

Young Professional Board

This group is an advisory body for the association. Members are asked to attend board meetings, special events and participate on a committee of their preference. Each board member is asked to personally participate in the YMCA’s Annual Giving Campaign as well as recruit others to give.

Responsibilities

  • Advocate for the YMCA mission
  • Offer valuable insights and recommendations
  • Serve as a bridge between leadership and younger stakeholders
  • Mobilize volunteers to give and serve
  • Community-wide fundraising
  • Provide input on issues, goals, and objectives
