M.E. Lyons YMCA features indoor and outdoor swimming pools where our members can enjoy open swim time or sign up for many different swimming and water exercise programs. From kids taking their first swim lessons to adults training for a triathlon, our Y has aquatic fun for everyone.

At M.E. Lyons YMCA, we believe that everyone should learn how to swim in a safe and structured setting. We teach group swim lessons at several different levels to help kids first feel comfortable moving around in the water, before gradually learning more advanced stroke techniques. Our Y also offers private swim lessons for those who want more 1-on-1 time with our instructors.
Adult members ages 19+ can join our masters swimming program, with optional competitions. Swimmers will be encouraged to set their own goals, whether that’s mastering a particular stroke or training for competitions, and will work toward those goals together in a supportive group environment.
Exercising in the water is a great way to keep cool and refreshed while you hone your strength and endurance. Our low-impact aquatic exercise classes are open to members of all ages.
Becoming a certified lifeguard teaches 16+ teens and adults valuable skills that may someday save a life. The YMCA of Greater Cincinnati offers a comprehensive lifeguard training program that includes first aid, oxygen administration, life support, and CPR/AED.
