Strategic Plan
2025-2027
This new strategic plan is a declaration of our commitment to building belonging for all. It sets a dynamic course, not only to rebuild and strengthen the foundations of the community but to transform the YMCA into a hub of achievement, relationships, and belonging for all in our community. Together, we will ensure the Y remains a cornerstone of civic participation, where people across all difference can come together and grow. This plan is more than a document—it’s a blueprint for a brighter future. We’re inviting you, as stewards of the YMCA legacy, to join us on this journey of renewal and transformation. Let’s build a Y that not only serves but inspires—today and for generations to come!

Goal: Supercharge the Y experience. Our “Y Factor” is the unique power of the Y to go beyond gym and swim, helping people achieve their goals, build lasting relationships, and find a true sense of belonging.
Summary: Design, launch, scale, and measure new branding effort around our vision. 70% of staff and members report Y brand of achievement, relationships, and belonging is clear, consistent, and authentic. This goal aims to streamline our internal approaches (onboarding, hiring, leadership development) as well as our external approaches (marketing, storytelling, branding).

Goal: The Y has a strong history of innovation that allows us to adapt to our changing society. In this plan, we will identify and scale a minimum of four impactful and sustainable association-wide innovations in the following domain areas:
Summary: Identify and scale a minimum of 4 innovations that deliver on our mission and provide much needed services to priority populations
Goal: We believe in leveraging the strength of our local and national partners to help us deliver on our mission. By 2027 we will secure 3 mission-aligned strategic partners to help make our region become healthier, stronger, and more connected.
Summary: Secure three mission-aligned, strategic partners that each has a positive economic benefit and can help us scale impact across the entire region.
Goal: Our impact is only as strong as our organization. When we measure impact, refine our programs, and steward our resources wisely, we’ll sustain this mission for generations to come. We know that by focusing on quality of the Y experience, for all, we live into our vision of building inclusive environments where individuals reach goals, make friends, and connect to a cause greater than themselves.
Summary: 80% of programs and facilities are self-sustaining.
