For the next few weeks, we will be highlighting our Volunteer of the Year winners from our 2023 Keystone Awards. Today, we introduce you to Dick Monson from Campbell County YMCA. He is a Special Event and Branch Board Member Volunteer, and also assists with swim lessons.
Dick Monson is Campbell County’s Y Ambassador. He has never met stranger and he never misses the opportunity to share his Y story. While he workouts out in the fitness center, he is always quick to introduce himself to a new member, strikes up a friendly conversation and makes everyone feel welcome and at home. As a Swim Lesson Volunteer, Dick has the pleasure of sharing his love of swimming with children. Recently, Dick Monson said he was honored and proud to have helped a 10-year-old overcome his fear of water while helping with swim lessons. He is excited about making sure that everyone who wants to learn to swim has the opportunity to do so. Thank you, Dick, for helping other members achieve their goals!
