New Music Programs Now Open at the Music Resource Center
The YMCA of Greater Cincinnati is excited to announce additional music programs and studio opportunities now available through our Music Resource Center (MRC) in Walnut Hills, and new offerings hosted at the Gamble-Nippert YMCA.
These programs expand the Y’s commitment to youth development, creative expression, and lifelong learning—meeting people where they are and helping them build confidence, skills, and connection through music.
Teen Programs Beginning January 21
- Who: Ages 12–18 (Grades 7–12)
- When: January 21 – February 25
- Registration deadline for all programs and lessons: January 16
- Cost: $50 for YMCA/MRC Members | $70 for Non-Members
- Six-week programs include:
Private Guitar and Piano Lessons
- Who: Ages 5+
- When: Tuesdays and Thursdays, January 21 – February 25 (30-minute lessons)
- Cost: $50 for YMCA/MRC Members | $70 for Non-Members
- Lessons are personalized to each participant’s skill level and musical interests. No prior experience is required, and instruments are available to borrow. Register for Piano or Guitar
Studio Services at MRC
Teen Studio Membership (Drop-In Access)
- Who: Ages 12–18
- When: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, 2:00–7:00 p.m.
- Cost: $10 per month
- Provides access to fully equipped studios for recording, songwriting, and rehearsal, with staff available to support learning goals and creative projects.
Adult Studio Services
The Music Resource Center also offers ongoing studio services for teens and adults, including:
- Adult Podcasting Program | Tuesdays 5-6:30 p.m. ages 16+
- Studio recording | by appointment
- Podcast Production | by appointment
