For the past few weeks, we have been highlighting our Volunteer of the Year winners from our 2023 Keystone Awards. Today, we introduce you to Mark Hammond. He dedicates his volunteer time to the Welcome Center & as a Pickleball Instructor.
As the face of our early morning Welcome Desk and Hospitality Team, Mark greets every member with a radiant smile and a genuine spirit of welcome. Mark understands that the heart of our YMCA lies in the community we nurture and he goes above and beyond to ensure that every member feels valued and cherished. He serves as a dedicated Pickleball Instructor, sharing his skills and passion with our members. His enthusiasm for Pickleball is infectious, and it has become a beloved program thanks to his dedication. He not only teaches the rules and techniques of the game, but also fosters a sense of camaraderie and connection among those who participate. In a world where we sometimes forget to smile, Mark reminds us of the power of laughter and positivity. Thank you, Mark, for being a joy to be around in the YMCA community!
