Honor Martin Luther King, Jr. Day with the YMCA: March for Equality
On Monday, January 20, 2025, we observe Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, a day to reflect on the life and legacy of Dr. King. On this day, many businesses close, and children enjoy a day off school. This is a perfect opportunity to honor Dr. King’s dream and actively participate in marches, celebrations, and educational presentations around the city.
Join the YMCA of Greater Cincinnati’s Multicultural Affinity Employee Resource Group as we honor Martin Luther King, Jr. and his fight for equality. We will walk together in the MLK Coalition March, which begins at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center. The march will pass right in front of the Central Parkway YMCA before ending in Washington Park. Following the march, we will gather from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM for a special program at Music Hall.
This is a wonderful chance for all YMCA volunteers, members, and friends to show support for equality and justice by walking and cheering on fellow marchers.
