What is your favorite volunteer activity and what inspires you to volunteer?
Serving as the Board Chair for the Greater Cincinnati YMCA Association. What inspires me to volunteer is the impact that the Y has on the lives of young people. I grew up in the Y playing sports and attending camp, and so did my 3 daughters at Powell Crosley YMCA. It was a valuable experience for my children and I want to other children grow up with that same opportunity.
Why do you belong to the Y and what would you tell others about it?
I belong to the Y because of its Christian Principles, and great foundation it provides to youth. I would want to tell others that the Y is much more than just a place to swim and workout, we touch lives and create opportunities for Achievement, Relationship, and Belonging.
Who or what inspires you? Tell us why!
Jorge Perez, CEO of the YMCA of Greater Cincinnati, inspires me through his passion about the Y cause and his leadership of others. He is a leader that truly cares, and is capable of managing through difficult situations.
