Artificial intelligence is becoming part of everyday life, from the tools people use at work and school to the information they see online each day. At the YMCA of Greater Cincinnati, we believe understanding these changes should be accessible to everyone, regardless of age, experience, or comfort with technology.
That is why on Friday, March 27, in recognition of National AI Literacy Day, the YMCA of Greater Cincinnati will host two free learning sessions at our Elm Street location, each designed for a different audience but grounded in the same goal: helping people engage with AI in ways that feel clear, practical, and human.
The sessions are part of a nationwide day of learning and are led in partnership with the YMCA’s national AI Collaborative, reflecting the YMCA’s commitment to responsible AI: technology that is transparent, human-centered, and accessible to all.
Session One: Made to Ask
9:00–9:45 AM
For senior members (Designed for 60+)
Made to Ask is a relaxed, open-floor conversation created for older adults who want plain-language answers about artificial intelligence without technical jargon or pressure.
Participants are invited to bring their curiosity, questions, and perspectives—whether they want to understand what AI actually means, how it shows up in daily life, or why it matters now.
This session is designed around conversation, not presentation. No slides, no prerequisites, and no wrong questions.

Session Two: Made to Think
10:00–10:45 AM
For young adults
Made to Think is designed for younger members already encountering AI in school, work, creative tools, and daily digital life.
This conversation invites participants to think critically about how AI works, who it serves, what it changes, and how people can help shape its future responsibly.
The format is open, fast-moving, and discussion-based, giving participants room to challenge ideas, explore implications, and ask harder questions.

Why the YMCA Is Hosting These Conversations
The YMCA has always worked to help people build confidence, connection, and belonging in a changing world. As technology evolves, AI literacy is becoming another part of that work.
Our goal is not simply to explain new tools, but to create space where people of different generations can engage with change thoughtfully, ask meaningful questions, and feel equipped to make informed decisions.
This reflects our broader commitment to strengthening community by helping people access knowledge in ways that are welcoming and relevant.
