Enjoy A.W.A.Y. Privileges at YMCAs Nationwide
One of the great benefits of being a YMCA of Greater Cincinnati member is that your membership goes wherever you go. Through the A.W.A.Y. (Always Welcome at the Y) program, you can access more than 2,400 YMCAs across the country while you’re traveling for work, vacation, or visiting loved ones.
Because every YMCA association operates independently and not as a franchise, each location sets its own guidelines. This means equipment usage, group fitness access, and facility policies may vary from Y to Y.
Before You Travel: A Quick Checklist
Make sure your visit to another YMCA is quick and hassle-free:
1. Call the YMCA you plan to visit.
Policies for visiting members differ, so it’s always smart to confirm their guidelines before you arrive.
2. Stop by the Welcome Center before you head out.
If you’re planning to visit another Y, check in with the Welcome Center at your home branch first. Our staff can confirm that you are properly set up as an A.W.A.Y. member and check to ensure your waiver is signed and your photo is on file. This helps prevent any delays or check-in issues during your travels.
3. Bring your membership card and a photo ID.
You’ll need these to access any Y location.
